Occurrences Karaoke Box was first introduced in 1984 in a suburb in Okayama. Karaoke Box is made from the first box car that is normally used for transporting goods and then modified so that the soundproofing and can be used to sing. Karaoke Box and then spread to other Asian countries, especially in the countries of East Asia and Southeast Asia. In every country, karaoke boxes have a different title. In China, including Taiwan, as an alias Karaoke Box KTV Karaoke TV is referring to the MTV Music Television. While in the Philippines, known as the Box Karaoke Videoke, while in South Korea, the name used is Noraebang. The term Karaoke Box in Japan but is also used in Hong Kong.

On the other Hong Kong again, in traditional Chinese restaurants, they provide a space called Mahjong Karaoke-Karaoke, where in the room there is also a place to play Mahjong, so that when the parents asyi playing Mahjong, their children can air karaoke without upset their parents
